Frankie + Larry’s Steel Magnolias-Inspired Evening Outdoor Wedding at Pinewood Country Club in Slidell was absolutely beautiful.

Frankie and Larry’s wedding at Pinewood Country Club was a true celebration of love, family, and Southern charm. Inspired by the classic film Steel Magnolias, their evening outdoor wedding was full of meaningful moments, soft romance, and so much joy.  

The evening began with a private first look inside the reception hall, right in front of the cozy fireplace. It was such an emotional, beautiful moment — just the two of them, away from the excitement outside, soaking in the joy of the evening. Frankie looked breathtaking in her dusty blue lace gown, a stunning, unique twist on the traditional white dress, and Larry’s face lit up the moment he saw her.  

In a deeply meaningful gesture, Frankie and Larry chose to walk down the aisle together, hand in hand, stepping forward into their future side by side. Their outdoor ceremony took place on the beautiful gazebo of Pinewood Country Club, with towering pines and a soft golden sunset creating the dreamiest backdrop. Even with rain in the forecast, the skies stayed clear, and the evening light was absolutely magical.  

The reception was held inside Pinewood’s elegant hall, where the warmth of the fireplace, soft lighting, and classic Southern details brought Frankie’s Steel Magnolias vision to life. Friends and family gathered to celebrate, filling the space with laughter, happy tears, and some dancing to their amazing band.

Every detail of the day reflected the spirit of the South — timeless, elegant, and full of heart. From the dusty blue lace to the close-knit feeling of the reception, Frankie and Larry’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that true love, like the strongest magnolias, is both soft and unbreakable.  

Pinewood Country Club proved to be the perfect location for their romantic, Southern-inspired wedding day — offering the best of both worlds: a stunning outdoor ceremony setting and a warm, inviting indoor reception space.
